About Sedation Dentistry
Sedation Dentistry is an independent clinical reference on eyelid bumps, and a directory of ophthalmology practices across the United States.
What we cover
Eyelid lumps are one of the most common reasons people search for eye care. The large majority are benign, but the conditions that look alike are not treated alike, and a calm explanation is genuinely useful. Our clinical pages cover chalazia, styes (hordeola), blepharitis and the differentials that matter, together with the practical questions: when warm compresses are enough, when a steroid injection is reasonable, and when a lesion needs to be cut out.
How the directory is compiled
Clinic listings are collected from public business listings and public practice websites. We publish the name, street address, phone number and website of each practice, and nothing else. Ratings, review counts and review text are used internally to resolve duplicate records and to order listings, and they are never republished. No practice pays for inclusion, position or removal from the directory.
A city page is published only when we hold at least three complete records for that city — a name, an address and a phone number. Cities that do not meet that bar do not get a page.
Who writes this
Content is produced by the Sedation Dentistry editorial team and reviewed against published ophthalmology guidance before it is published. We do publish the reviewer and the review date on every clinical page. We do not publish clinical pages written by an unnamed reviewer, and we do not publish a byline for a clinician who has not reviewed the page.
What this is not
Sedation Dentistry is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for an examination. If you have severe eye pain, a change in vision, or redness spreading across the cheek, seek urgent care.
